Named for the biggest tiger in Bandhavgarh — strength of ten thousand elephants.
Mornings here start before the gates open — flasks of chai on the veranda, jeeps idling on the gravel. By afternoon it slows down: the pool, the shade of the sal trees, dinner served under string lights on the lawn.
Bandhavgarh
Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli zones open at dawn. Our naturalists file your permits on confirmation and brief you the night before, so all you do is get in the jeep.

Testimonials
We were fortunate to have a room (Mohini, named after the famous Tigress) adjacent to the swimming pool with a lovely view. The food deserves special appreciation. Every meal was delicious, wholesome, and tasted genuinely home-cooked. Highly recommended for families, wildlife enthusiasts, and travellers with pets.
We were welcomed like royalty with live dhol and a refreshing welcome drink. Loved the unique bamboo tunnel concept and the terrace tent with a beautiful view. Evenings were a blast with local folk dances, a live band, and a fun pool party. We'll be back for sure!
This accommodation exceeded my expectations by far! The room was large and clean, the garden is spacious and there is a well-maintained swimming pool. But for me, the most special thing was the staff. They are truly AMAZING. As a female solo traveler… the staff treated me with great respect.
Olive resort is a very peaceful, beautiful, well maintained property, very near to the Tala gate of Bandhavgarh National park. The rooms were super spacious, with good beds, clean bedsheets, properly working ACs and clean bathroom. Safari gypsy were booked by Olive resort for us. We were lucky to see a tiger.
The rooms were big, very clean, and nicely arranged, with all basic and modern facilities available. The rates are very reasonable compared to the comfort, service, and quality provided. There is also a big swimming pool, which is clean and well maintained. I would surely love to visit again!
The owner arranged everything for me before my stay — the taxi was ready for pick up at Jabalpur airport, he made all my safari bookings in advance. The bungalows are clean, spacious and comfortable, in a nice garden setting with flowers, a swimming pool and very quiet. You only hear the birds singing!
What stood out most was the thoughtful care and attention the staff extended to my elderly parents throughout their visit. They were patient, courteous, and always ready to assist. Thanks to Vivek jee, they could see tigers not once but twice.
The cleanliness was exceptional, and every corner of the property was well-maintained. The food was delicious, with a great variety and excellent quality. I would highly recommend Olive to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a relaxing stay in the arms of nature.

Getting Here
The Olive sits on Rancha Road in Tala village — 2.5 km from the Tala safari gate. Tell us your train or flight and we will arrange the pickup.
Good to Know
About 2.5 km — a five-minute drive. Morning safari guests leave the resort with flasks of chai and reach the gate before it opens.
Yes. Our safari desk books permits, jeep and naturalist for Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli zones as soon as your stay is confirmed. In peak season (November–January and April–June) permits sell out weeks ahead, so book your stay early and we file the permit request the same day.
The park is open October to June. October–February is green and pleasant; March–June is hot but gives the best tiger sightings around waterholes. The park closes July–September for the monsoon.
Two to three nights is ideal — it allows three to four game drives across different zones, which greatly improves your chances of a sighting.
Transfers from Umaria (32 km), Katni (100 km) and Jabalpur Airport (170 km) can be arranged on request. Share your train or flight details when you book and we will quote the best option.
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before check-in on direct bookings. Safari permits, once issued by the forest department, are non-refundable as per park rules. Read the full cancellation policy.
